Part 1: Collage of To Kill a Mockingbird
I chose a picture of a judge’s gavel because the main part of the book takes part in the town’s courthouse. It takes place in the courthouse because Atticus is Tom Robinson’s attorney.
I chose picture of an old house because the Radley’s house was very old and creepy. The Radley’s house is important because it is the center of the town’s gossip and is very interesting to Jem and Scout.
I chose a picture of two girls whispering because it reminded me of the women in Maycomb spreading rumors about Boo Radley and the Finches. Rumors and gossip is what fuels the book because if there wouldn’t have been as much gossiping, the stories would not have been blown out of proportion. Then people wouldn’t have reacted so rashly.
