This article reminds me of The Outsiders because Johnny killed Bob in self defense just like Tracey Richter said that she did. They were both trying to protect themselves and others. Johnny tried to protect Ponyboy, and Tracey tried to protect her three kids. They also deal with custody battles. People think that Tracey may have killed the man to get full custody of her kids, and Darry was worried that he might loose custody of Ponyboy and Sodapop after the incident.
