Part 9: Review of My Antonia
My Antonia is the story of a Bohemian girl who moves to Nebraska. This book is very interesting because it takes you through Antonia’s entire life. When she first moves to Nebraska, you see her family struggle with finances and when she grows up, you see her struggle with making good choices. It is told through her best friend, Jim. Jim also struggles with Antonia’s choices because he loves her and wants the best for her. This book showed my how difficult it was for immigrants and how hard it was to get out of the cycle of poverty. I thought this was a pretty good and I would recommend this book to anybody who likes a heartwarming story. I would give this book a 3/5.
