Part 7: Unique word for The Outsiders
I chose the word menage for The Outsiders because it means family and the Greasers act more like a family than a bunch of friends. There are many parts of the book were the Greasers did something for each other that other people, even very close friends wouldn’t do for each other. For example, if any of them needs a safe place to sleep, Darry keeps the doors unlocked. Johnny saved Ponyboy and Dally risked his life for them too. You can really see how much they care for each other when Johnny dies, and Dally kills himself. Johnny considered them to be the only family he had.
